 An apostille is a form of authentication required for documents being used in countries that are part of the Hague Convention. If you need to use your birth certificate, diploma, marriage certificate, or power of attorney overseas, you may need an apostille.

Yes, we recommend scheduling an appointment for convenience. As a mobile notary in Texas, we offer flexible scheduling and can meet you at your home, office, bank, or another agreed location.

No, Texas notaries cannot accept expired identification, regardless of how recently it expired. 


No, the notary must view the original physical ID in person. Scans, copies, or phone images are not acceptable. 


If no acceptable ID is available, Texas law allows the use of one or two credible witnesses, who:


  • Personally know the signer
  • Are not named in the document
  • Have valid ID themselves


Ask your notary ahead of time if this option is available.


Acceptable IDs include a current (unexpired), government-issued photo ID such as:


  • A Texas driver's license
  • U.S. passport book (not a passport card)
  • Military ID
  • Other state-issued identification


The ID must be valid and not expired.


The signer must:


  • Appear in person before the notary
  • Present valid ID
  • Be willing, aware, and capable of signing
  • Sign freely and knowingly, without coercion


Yes, only if:


  • The notary and the signer can communicate directly without a translator.
  • The signer understands the document they are signing.


The document can be in any language, but the notarial certificate must be in English.
